Event Details:

Oldest road race in Maine. Proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Clubs Alumni Association projects.

Amenities:

The first 500 entrants in the 5-mile race receive a t-shirt.

All registrants 18 and under receive a YEAR LONG Membership to the Boys and Girls Club.

Free kids' run begins at 11 a.m., and the 5-miler starts at noon.

Cash awards will be given to to the top three men and women overall, and plaques go to first-place finishers in the following categories: 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+ Boys & Girls Club members, Alumni Association members. Trophies go to the top two in these age groups: 13-14, 15-16, 17-18.

Andy Schachat of Dover, New Hampshire will be the voice of the race for the second year in a row. 2011 will be Andy's 15th Anniversary of "Andy on the Run" running around the country announcing races.
 
Directions From the South: Take Interstate 95 to Exit 44 South Portland/Downtown Portland I-295, merge onto Interstate 295. Take I-295 to Exit 7 Franklin St and go straight through 2 sets of lights and at the third set, turn right. Registration 0.1 miles ahead.
 
Directions From the North: Take Interstate 295 to Exit 7 Franklin St. Go straight through 2 sets of lights and at the third set turn right. Registration 0.1 miles ahead.
 
Directions From the West: Take US Route 302 to end in Portland, Maine. Turn right onto Portland Street, go through a stop sign and turn right. At the next light turn left registration is located 0.1 miles ahead.
 
Parking: All METERS are FREE on Sundays in Portland. Nearby side streets unless posted otherwise permit parking all day Sunday. These spots are FREE also. Please DO NOT PARK in any vacant lot unless authorized to do so. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for you being towed for illegally parking in an unauthorized parking spot.
